2017 Magic City Diamond Classic

Who: 2 HBCU baseball teams (Alabama A&M University-Huntsville, AL, Alabama State University-Montgomery, AL) from across Alabama both public schools will participate in a single game match-up as well as entertainment events/activities over a three dayperiod estimated to welcome 8,500 fans to Birmingham, AL.

What: Magic City Diamond Classic – NCAA College Baseball event is soon to become one of the premier HBCU Sporting events in the country. This initiative is designed to promote higher education to urban youth through exposure to college and career readiness programming. Proceeds from this event will benefit the participating universities, both the United Negro College Fund and Thurgood Marshall College Fund, and local Birmingham charitable organizations.

When: April 7, 2017 Game 1 (Single game- Community Pride Day) – Friday, TBD
